The 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) kicked off on Friday, August 29, bringing back the thrill and energy of India’s most celebrated Kabaddi tournament. PKL has grown to become the most followed Kabaddi league worldwide and ranks as the second-most-watched sporting event in India after the IPL.

The opening clash of Season 12 saw the Telugu Titans lock horns with the Tamil Thalaivas at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag. Meanwhile, the defending champions Haryana Steelers begin their title defense on Sunday, August 31, against the Bengal Warriorz, aiming to secure back-to-back championships.

Below, you can find the PKL 12 points table and team standings, which will be refreshed after the conclusion of each matchday.

PKL 2025: League Format

This season consists of 108 league matches, with each franchise playing 18 games in the group stage. Teams earn:

  • 2 points for a win
  • 0 points for a loss

Playoff Structure

For the first time in PKL history, the playoffs will feature a play-in system. The top eight sides from the group stage qualify for the knockouts, structured as follows:

  • 5th to 8th placed teams → enter play-ins, with winners progressing to Eliminators.
  • 3rd and 4th placed teams → battle in a mini-qualifier; the losing side gets a second chance later in the playoffs.
  • Top 2 teams → face off in Qualifier 1; the victor secures a direct spot in the final, while the loser gets another opportunity in Qualifier 2.
  • Qualifier 2 → contested between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator winner, determining the second finalist.

PKL Tie-Breaker Rules

This season removes the possibility of drawn results. If scores are level at the end of regular time, the following tie-break system applies:

  1. Both teams will field 7 players.
  2. Each side nominates 5 raiders, who raid alternately.
  3. Revival and “out” rules are not considered – only raid points are counted.
  4. If still tied after 5 raids each, a Golden Raid decides the winner.
  5. If scores remain level after the Golden Raid, a toss determines the victor.
